Working on a buddys’ X-Mas present for his youngest son and I decided to try some new eye protection. Well, they blow and I found myself going through the eye flush routine. I am curious as to how the y’all in the craft protect your vision during the shaping and sanding routine. Please feel free to post brands as I am looking to take your counsel and make a change in eye protection. Thanks to all, Magoo P.S. The board I am working on was the catalyst for the previous ‘egg’ question. It is either a mini longboard or an egg – depends on who the interpreter is I guess… M

I use a face shield like this one with the forehead covered. I can wear a respirator and glasses under it: http://www.sears.com/sr/product/summary/productsummary.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0738777493.1008134253@@@@&BV_EngineID=gcadcckdlkimibggcmgclchn.0&vertical=SEARS&bidsite=CRAFT&pid=00918620000
Magoo, Check out a pair of welders goggles at the local welding supply shop. (The two piece type,w/elastic strap, ) Just remove the colored lens, leaving the clear glass. Light weight and designed to breath well with no fogging.>>> Working on a buddys’ X-Mas present for his youngest son and I decided to > try some new eye protection. Magoo, I still think about the thread that someone posted awhile ago about getting either acetone or catalyst splashed in there eyes. They filled a sink up full of water, and used a snorkle to breath thru while submerging there face in the sink…His wife walked in and thought he had gone nuts!!! Wear something to protect your eyes, because without them you are BLIND!!!Herb.

Home depot has them for $100 with a set of organic cart. Or you can order them from safty west for like $65 they are light and have a inside mouth piece so no fogging up
