I would like to build a paddleboard, but due to living in a 7º floor flat has to be something similar to this Pope bisect thing. It would be helpfull to see some detailed picture o read a good description of somebody has got one ( or has seen it ) thank you in advance. javier alcala ( spain )
Thane Pope is a regular at the spot where I usually surf, and he regularly brings boards with him for surfers to try out. He is always graciously willing to explain his bisect system to anyone who’s interested. Unfortunately for the regular guy on the street who wants to repeat a bisect board, it’s pretty high-tech. Each half of the board at the split is fitted with a molded hard plastic form that is attached to the board and also receives an aluminum tube to create tensil strength. Then it’s latched and tightened with special fasteners imbedded in the deck. It would be a tough one to just do on your own. But who knows, maybe you could invent something new. Good luck with your project.Doug
