How much epoxy do i really need?

Hey! I will soon do my first eps/epoxy board. I am quite used to polyester where for a fish shape of 6ft 5in i need 3,5 kilogramms (8 pound/ 130oz) of poly resin with a double 6oz glass deck and single 6oz glass bottom layer.
As a got an eps blank now i have to deal with the more expensive epoxy resin… However i heard that you dont need that much epoxy for a board). Do i have to stick to my 4 kg (incl. hardener) or will i need a smaller amound of resin now that it is epoxy?

Thanks!

If Greg Loehr is doing that board with epoxy, he’d use 1.753 ounces, total.

Me, if it’s a non-tinted resin mix, I’d use 90 ounces of epoxy (lam/sanding/gloss) and that is probably a bit overkill. YMMV.

As Epoxy is stronger then poly can i go to a 4oz glassjob instead of 6oz without loosing stability?
I would give also it a stringer for more realistic feel and weight…
