how to build a wooden fins?

hello. I have just spent my tax return on one of the hollow kits from grain surfboards for a 5’10" fish. I am really excited about putting it together… the kit comes with fcs fin plugs. I dont want to use these, I would rather glass on some wooden fins. I have never made a fin before and was looking for some guidance on how to do so. The kit comes with white and red cedar and it seems as though there will be some bits and pieces left after I cut the outline. I have a table saw and a bunch of clamps and a sander… and probably could obtain other needed tools from a friend.

Does anyone have any tips or can point me to a thread that I may have missed?
