How to do this board repair

Hi, found an old board in my parents basement and want to get it fixed up so I have a shorter board to ride. I was wondering how I would go about fixing it. I’ve done simple ding repairs in the past but this is new to me. Thanks!

I don’t know if I’m missing something but I would clean it up, sand the repair area, cut some patches of fiberglass to cover the repair area, laminate the patches with resin, sand, repeat if needed, then a couple coats of resin with sanding to feather & blend the edges of the repair, buff it out, and good to go.

Yes. Either cut the loose glass out or glue it down. Sand the whole area and clean it up, dirt, wax etc. if you glue it down; catalyze some lam resin, lift the loose glass up and poor a little resin on the foam under the glass. You can use a paper”Dixie” cup to do this. Press down on the glass to spread it around between glass and foam. Use 1 1/2” tape or “Shrink Wrap” plastic to pull the glass down tight to the foam. After it has set, fill any cracks or voids with Q-cell/resin mix using a squeegee. Laminate a couple of layers of 4oz. over the repair, hot coat and sand. You can do the same repair by cutting the loose glass out and laying down a piece of 6ox. in the void. Cut the loose cloth out in a rectangle or square. That way you can lay your 6oz. down in the cut out area and cut it when it has jelled. The 6oz. Will fit in the cut out perfectly. Then Q-cell any voids or cracks as necessary and finish with a couple of layers of 4oz.
