hellooooooooo
anyone there?
i’m considering getting one…
a used 7.2…what would i notice between this
and my liddle 7.6 smoothie?
thanx
compare…
look down the line…
here it comes…
DID YOU LOOK IN THE ARCHIVES!!! Haha…Sorry but I had to…
can you put em side by side?
is so what do you see?
what do you think… take a step back…
yes i looked in the archives…
believe me i looked…ask my wife
she’s a hullwidow…
no fineline hulls mentioned…
well igoing to look at it today…
looks like an bojorquez…
can’t compare with my board…
(a 7.6 smoothie)
it’s being repaired…
dinged the nose
low tide at sewers… ouch…
anyway…i’ll let you know what i think…
Dansen , I ride a couple of Finelines and Brians MPs are a little more like a normal thruster in the back , they also have a different rocker than your Liddle. They surf off the tail alot better and can draw alot shorter arc on turns , but still have a hull feeling, One thing they wont glide as much, you have to push them more. Hope this helps.
thanx kp…
your input is all-ways
appreciated…
i might be down in
the malibu/ventucky area
soon…kinda trying to time
it with a swell
i have some time…
might look at at 7.10 bojorquez
i saw on craigslist…
and the 7.6 liddle
on swaylocks…
let me know if it’s cool
to stop by…
when ya headed down? there might be a 7’ 10’ liddle in wavefront surfshop in ventura by then(and some other liddles as well)
not sure yet…
that’s the $65 question…
might be oct 13-15
or 27-29…
or for thanksgiving(more likely)
needs some advice…
craigslist san fran area…
(if you want to see pictures)
a 7.2 fineline hull in santa cruz…
going to look at it today
is being advertised for 599
the guy is willing to go down to 550…
however, the tail had a “minor” ding(repaired)…
yesterday…
i was up at mollusk in san fran…their new boards
are going for 575-625…
so this guy’s price seems alittle high…
especially with a tail ding…
i was thinking more 450-500…
anybody else?
Tell the seller what you just told us abuot Mollusk and if he doesn’t come down, go over there and buy a new one. For $25 its worth it…
yeah- go see john at mollusk and for 25 more clams, get a new hull!
or e-mail greg…
he shaped and shipped
directly to me my last board this summer…
which is dream…he’s backlogged now
with all the publicity
so i gotta wait for a new one…
but am interested in other shapers too…
and saw these used boards
i’m just so fricken addicted…
i need(want) another…
especially since i dinged the nose
of that board
two sundays ago…
haven’t got it back from repair…
i’m kinda wary of mollusk…
that where i bought my first liddle that was too small(6.10)…
anyway i haven’t heard a peep back from this guy(fineline board)…
so i’m assuming he’s pissed
benny1,kp, and matt…
zosurf…thank-you all for your info and advice…
the guy called me back today…
i pick it up tomorrow…for $500…which more reasonable than $550-599
at noon…and get to take it out in the new swell…
for an afternoon sesh…
yeah…yeah…yeah…
he was cool about it…
i’m even going help him with his back trouble
if he needs surgery(i’m an orthopeadic/neuro/medical rep)…
and i work with the same docs he does(he’s an o.t.)
so i’ll let you all know …how the maiden voyage goes…
today was fun from 11:30a-1:30p…
new swell starting work it’s way
thru the high tide…
sunny…no wind…minimal people
just 2 of us at rockview…
then just 5 of us at sewers…
i was on my 6’6 kg fish…
since my liddle
is still at sand dollar repair
again thank-you to all
namaste’,
dansan
like it seems to me, many hull riders, when conditions or situation precludes riding a hull, then yr out on something fish-like, and not the standard thruster.
my observation only.
actually…
i mix it up between my 9.6 junod longboard
and the fish depending conditions
of course…
couldn’t do anything today…
small waves…
but worse…
red tide…yuck!
