Well this is the slowest I have been in a vary long time. In the past I always had an old personal beater board that I would restore in my down time. So right now I am vary bored with little work, and a decent amount of down time. So I wanted to ask everyone if you have an old beater board that deserves to be fixed up let me know please. I don’t want to spend more than a hundred bucks for the board, with the amount of work I imagine that I’ll be doing to the board. I would prefer to get an old d fin that is not too heavy but as my dad says “beggers can’t be choosers”.So please, if you got something, send me some pics please. or just post up some pics on here. Thanks.

You’re not far from Bird’s Surf Shed. Why not drop in and offer Bird your repair service, for one of his beaters, in exchange for an additional beater for you? Just an idea. It’s the sort of thing I think he’d be receptive to.
I’ve got a beater log that needs some TLC I could bring by. Want to learn more about how to repair my own boards. Would you wanna show me the ropes?

Excellent. A little too organized for me, though. I prefer to stumble over all my stuff, ding a board or two while shuffling through and looking for that lost fin or picture. You on the other hand have it all together.

Birds isn’t the only shop in San Diego. From IB to Oceanside someone has something that would make a good trade off. repair one get one deal. Maybe post something up on craigslist. See what happens.
