If you are trying to login, and it says something like "thanks for loggin in" and then the forum tell you that you can not post, then you are having a cookie problem.
The Swaylock's system uses cookies to remember that you have logged in as you move from page to page. If you have cookies blocked or disabled, the system cannot remember that you already logged in, and it forgets right after you log in.
To resolve this problem, do the following: 1. Check your browser settings and make sure you can accept cookies (see below). 2. If you have a personal firewall like McAfree, ZoneAlarm, or Norton's Personal Firewall, make sure it allows the use of cookies 3. If you have WindowsXP, got to Control Panel > Internet Options > Privacy and check your cookies settings (cookies are allowed).
If you have done all of the above and it still doesn't work, try clearing your cookies. Do the following:
For Internet Explorer: 1. Fully close and restart internet explorer. 2. Go to Tools > Internet Options 3. Under temporary internet files click "Delete Cookies." Click OK. 4. Go back to Swaylock's and log in.
For Netscape Navigator: 1. Fully close and restart NN. 2. Choose Cookie Manager from the Tools menu. 3. Choose Manage Stored Cookies. 4. Remove any cookie from the list, or remove all cookies. 5. Go back to Swaylock's and log in.
Howzit mb,If you are using windows just upgrade to outlook express 7 or 8 and you should have no problem. if it still won't work then do what Mike says and go with Mozillafirefox. Aloha,Kokua
Kokua, thanks. I am struggling here. I just joined. I am trying to post a new question in a forum and I have no idea how to go about it. Do I tag on to an existing thread or do I create a new one? Thanks!
Howzit mb,go to general discussion and on the left hand upper corner and you'll see the starta new topic forum I think that is it but you will know which one it is and that is how you post a new thread. Aloha,Kokua
Ha - this is an old thread, but some things never change.
The latest casualty is Matt. Whenever he tries to post a comment a red box appears at top of page stating a comment field is required. He's never had this issue before. Could it his new computer, or???
