I got this board for my Birthday years ago, bought in the SanFransisco area…any ideas on its ID?
No idea on the board, but the dog appears to be an Airedale.
A close-up pic of the label or any other markings might help.

First thought was pop-out. But, pop-outs of the period wouldn’t have had that long narrow nose and pintail - more of an early foam-era shape, say '59-'60. But something about it looks like it could have been a home-built board. The color panels possibly were added later. What about the fin?
It is hard to tell, but it looks like it has a tapered stringer, which would have been rare for the time. Also it looks like a leash loop going thru the stringer which makes no sense at all. Did someone re-work the whole board 15 years later?
Did you get it new or used? in what year? Do you know if it came originally from a surf shop?
