In Search of East Coast Shapers

I am going to be starting a surf shop here in NC in the next 6 month. I have also been shaping for a couple years now and have more respect for “local” shapers then anything else. If you shape anywhere around the east coast and are interested in getting some boards in my shop let me know. Also if anybody has any contacts anywhere else in the world that you think would be interested in this let me know.

I might be able to help you out with some contacts, I have shaped a few boards but none worthy of being in a shop, but i know some guys who are a lot better than me. Good luck breaking into the wilmington surf shop scene, the market is pretty saturated right now in my opinion

Longboarder,

We know that at times many of the board shops around here have trouble filling their racks because of either shipping delays or the money they have to lay out. Eventually Austin and I want to open our own “surf shop”. We have so many “private” label boards around here we kicked around the idea of letting some of the small time board builders have a place where they could sell their boards. You would have to have some type of quality assurance before you agree to carry their boards and some other points would have to be worked out but if you sold them on “consignment” there would be no money up front and your racks would be filled.
