Inlayz have conclusively tested laminate strengths with Inlayz, with the Supervision of Consulting Engineer & Surfer Mike Rickard of Aku Shaper.
Results have proven that Inlayz can more than double the strength of your fibreglass laminate.
Most recent comparison test 4 ounce + inlayz v’s double 4 ounce.
Single 4 ounce and Inlayz showed far greater resistance to impact when compared to the standard double 4 ounce laminate.
Both boards were made from the same foam, Cut from same file and shaped by same man, Selwyn Van Wyk.
The Inlayz board 2.4 KG Breaking Point 1083 KG (best Result)
Double 4 boards 2.6 KG Breaking point 935KG(best Result)
Previous tests 6 ounce vs Inlayz and 6 ounce.
Result found that the resistance to impact was doubled when the Laminate is combined with an Inlayz.
Conclusion / The Inlayz TM, enhance the strength of the fibreglass laminates doubling the strength and in some cases exceeding this.
