Installing Red-X on my #1, any tips?

It looks like this will be the only fin option I have at the moment for my 5 fin stubby. Any tricks or tips appreciated. Have a router, will learn ;).

edit: I was a good boy and I searched the forums and although very helpful some of the posts are over 3 years old. There must be some up to date info?
