INFLATABLE Paint Spray Booth

$1.5-2 K at Amazon.

Um, can you say flammable? think about it, what would it be like to have a small spark ignite in a flammable dust filled environment inside a giant plastic bag! not a good idea.

Here’s an option. I found it looking for a 10’ x 12’ shed.

This is what I’m thinking about getting.

Onelua’s was fun to watch inflate. Can you imagine trying to put it all away when your done with it? Get it back in that little box? Temporary structures should be easy to assemble and put away I think and quickly for when the wind kicks up. Mike

The paint booth is not something I’d want to deal with for surfboards. I’ve had a pop up canopy and a larger canopy get twisted up by an overnight gust of wind.

Some years back a Sways member posted using a portable greenhouse from Amazon ,they are still available from about $60 , looks like they would work for spray painting .

Saw one of these installed on “Garage Rehab” or whatever the name of the show was.  Not any more dangerous than working in a wood structure.  If you have safe electrical, lids on containers and tools that don’t have bare wires or bad brushes, you won’t get sparks.  Of course solvents like Acetone and lacquer thinner are highly volatile.  Keep a lid on them.  Some chemicals require quite a bit more than a spark.  My Dad was a chain smoking truck driver and mechanic.  I’ve seen him put out a cigarette by flippin’ a lit butt into a can of diesel.
