Is this a Con Longboard or just a Con of a Con?

Hey Surfers,

I’ve got an old longboard that’s been in the family for a long time.  My Uncle used to surf it and I was wondering if anyone would be able to ID it as a Con surfboard or just a surfboard with a Con logo slapped on it.  The logo is under the resin.  I’ve had it in my possession for over 20 years when he passed away.  I’m not looking for a value or anything like that, I just want to know what it is from anybody who might know.  Thanks, sean.

Looks legit to me.

While it looks pretty genuine to me, that logo is a bit odd since it does not look like a rice paper lam.

Does it have any markings on the stringer or tailblock, and can you post a pic of the fin?

Assuming it still has a fin, of course.

I can’t speak for the authenticity of your board but here are some pics of a supposedly authentic con board for sale on craigslist in my area

Hope it helps.

Thanks guys for the responses.  Here is a pic of the fin.  I can’t tell, but it looks like there might have been some work done near the fin, or it could be some discoloration.  But it looks like maybe some repair work, I can’t tell.

Here’s a pic of a vintage Wayne Bartholomew T-shirt that I got back in the early 80’s that my uncle gave me.  I still have it too.  I thought that I would post it here, since you guys might appreciate it.  Just for curiosity’s sake.
