Is this a resin splash or foam stain?

Hi guys so quick question in this attached picture is a beautiful board but can someone tell me how this was done? How do they get the definition between the colours? I think its done as like an inlay if you look closely on the second picture and just being very bold and quick with applying the colours in the correct order. Or could it be a foam stain? I really like this effect so could anyone share some knowledge on this.

Appears to be a foam stain done in resin as an inlay.

Actually in the second picture, isn’t it visible that it’s in the resin? The laps are coloured. 

Anyway; i guess you could achieve that look with both a foam stain and with tinted resin.
