Is this right? Rail design

While trying to decide on a rail design for my first board, I stumbled across this site which seems to go against everything I’ve read so far.

http://www.easternlines.com/knowledge.htm

Basically they are claiming 70/30 rails are good for beginners on crappy waves, boxy rails for advanced on fast waves, and 60/40 to be the most forgiving. Somehow I picture just the opposite. Whats the deal anyway.

Thanks

Not claiming anything about my surfing, but I’ve always like thick, blocky, and hard turned down rails the BEST for any kind of performance shortboard surfing, up to waves TOH.
