issues with painting and sanding coat

Hey guys!

I’m sure you can help me with this one:

when i paint on my boards i always end up with hundreds of dimples in the hot coat which ultimately leads to hundreds of minutes of extra sanding. I was told by someone that when ever I put paint on the board I need to “seal” the paint with a clear coat, so I have, even on acrylics. I have the sneaking suspicion that it is this clear coat being broken down by the resin, however when I have tried to put resin over the acrylic it runs and then I have real problems since I am using UV resin. First off, should I have to seal the acrylic and second, if so does it have to be an acrylic spray paint? By the way I am allowing a day for paint to dry.

Thanks for any input:)
