Ciao, ho letto solo ora perchè mi sono iscritto da pochi giorni.
Io sono di Genova, sono nuovo allo shaping di tavole da surf ma ho gia fatto un paio di tavole da kitesurf per me e i miei amici.
i materiali che utilizzo per le kiteboart sono i + avanzati materiali per strutture composite; Herex C-90, vetro 200, carbonio e texalium,con resina epossidica tutto laminato nel sacco a vuoto (gran sbattone)
In Cantabria ho comprato un foam da Full & Cas per provare a shaparmi un Minilong-Egg
sarei molto interessato ale tavole in balsa, ma penso che in italia sia molto difficile trovare balsa in dimensioni a datte.
A genova c’è un ragazzo che produce foam 6.9, l’ho solo contattato via mail, ma penso che adesso lo chiamerò e magari prenderò anche un pane.
Te dove vivi esattamente? magari si potrebbe shapare insieme qualche tavola!

Im sayng I’m italian and I’am new to shape surfboards, but I have shaped a few kiteboards, maked with herex foam, carbon, glass and texalium, glased with epoxy resin and cured in vacum bag.
I live near the ather italian guy, and i say here in italy it’s hard to find balsa to shape a woodboard (i’s even hard to find clark foam)

Hey David,
How’d your HWS work out?
The board, my 5.9x23x3 globe fish is finished and I’m going to resin it.
Since it’s strong (and stiff) enough without glass (3 stinger+ribs), I’m thinking to brush some thinned resin as first layer and then a second resin layer (no glass).
Any suggestion from a wood master Hicksy?
