When I tried out my five fin (ala Griffin) it felt like the second coming. It was so fast, loose and held like, well, like it had five fins. Then I made another but tried it as a quad and it was just as fast and even looser off the top. Then I tried Swuz’s carbon railed twin fin and was thinking, “My next board’s got to be a twin.” Then I experimented with my mush gun and ended up with a thruster center fin and two small sidebites and thought, “Who needs all that fin?” Then I tried the 7-1 bonzer5 and was like, “Yeah, butter! Smooth and solid. I love it.”
So I’m thinking about what I should make next and can’t make up my mind because everything works so good! I love them all! I love surfing! I love surfboards! I love making surfboards! Spring break for me next week. Awhooooooo! Quit all yer bitchin, go surfing and be happy!
but I think that you need to put more time in each design to really understand the differences
there re differences
normally (as a shaper) see that most average surfers dont use and understand very well their boards
so when is time to order a new one (custom) is very difficult for me to shape the proper board if I dont know the surfing of the customer…
in my opinion (as a surfer) is better to use 1 board extensivelly in several conditions
day by day
then, if you mind, the “feelings” appears
I dont know your surfing skills, but if you re a faster surfer or a powerful one or hit the lip 3, 4 times in a wave you really see the differences, anyway
and Im not an advocate of “…if you move 1/8 you ll see differences…”
I share the feeling bro...surfing is so beaultiful thing that when you think about waves and boards you just feel high.....and grateful to God....is good to see someone feeling this....pure surf pure life...
