Its the surfer not the equipment

This just goes to show, its the surfer and not the board they are riding, or the fins, or anything. However, not every one gets to surf all day every day so making use of the right boards for the right days at the right spots can help the average joe like myself. Heres for a laugh

In the book pipe dreams Kelly Slater talks about Paddling out at pipe on a wooden door. A pro who spends every day surfing should be able to ride anything. But to the average surfer things like fins, board size, volume all makes a difference to a degree. at lease in the aspect of how much fun you will have.

Nice find. Looks fun. Would be nice to see the boards and make it a regular event, 70% awarded to weirdest board, remainder as normal surf comp
