Hello all I recently had a friend get me a board from Florida. I have never heard of it but I am just curious if anyone else has or knows anything about “Jeff Crawford Surfboards” It is a 7’11" Thruster Almost a candy Red finish on the board the logo is an Island setting with Plam trees and a rising sun. It says “handshaped in hawaii by Bali Joe” Any info you have about this company would be great thanks allot.

dig my sig.
Sounds like one of Jeff’s personals almost. Red boards are fast and JC has known this forever.
Jeff Crawford was a pro surfer from Florida in the 70s that made his mark surfing the North Shore of Oahu quite well during that period. His greatest achievement was probably winning the Pipe Masters in '74 or '75. Last I heard he had recently moved to the North Shore (I seen him out at Rocky Pt. a few seasons ago). The logo you described sounds like the logo he used back when he had a surf company in Florida. I know of a shaper named Joe Kupsinel that goes by the nickname “Bali Joe”, who could very well be the person that shaped that board. During the few times that I have seen Jeff Crawford surfing in recent years, he would always be riding a red board much like the one you described. Who knows, it may be one of his personal boards.
pretty funny that this posted up. I found a jeff carwford in a dumpster three weeks ago here in NJ.It was/is totaly l trashed a '70’s style single fin. not fixable but still interesting. I made it into a christmas thingie on the lawn—it’s well lit and features Cody the surfing penquin from 'Surf’s Up" hanging 6…the kids love it
Come to think of it who better to test out the 13 footer? He already rides huge boards…
Just sayin’…

I grew up with Jeff Crawford & watched him surf near the Cape Canaveral pier in Fla.He had a brother if I remember right that was also a surfer.I wasn’t a personal friend, but did meet him a few times.Loved to watch him in competitions. His boards sold in a few shops. Mostly in Ron Jons surf shop. Back in the 60’s &70’s before Ron Jon got really famous.I did Know Ron Jon,My husband dug a big pond for him near his house. Those were some great times, when you could get to the beach easily,& condos dodn’t block the view. What I wouldn’t do to see a good surf competition.
out at the Rubber Ranch on north tropical trail, my sister in law and her Husband were the caretakers
