Jim made me my second surfboard when I was 16 years old. The name of his surfboards that he made me was a Underground brand called New Bread Surfboards.
My first board was a used Flying Hull Twin. Clear with orange and black SS logos. I loved that thing even though all the other kids had the “cool” boards like Stussy’s, Schroff’s, WT’s, Timpone’s, etc.
Hey, $80 was a lot of dough when you’re 11! And them is 1981 dollars!
I’d love to make one! Flat as hell and aircraft carrier-wide!
almost bought his dingshop in westminister…but my buddy dave beat me to it…jim was a great shaper.

After he shaped my board he wrote the words New Breed on it then we went over to RC glass shop or a glass shack back then… Just glassed and fined no sticker… O to the good old days that stickers did not matter.but the board did.
