Due to an increasing work load we are expanding to our team.

hi there 2 fins, what sort of pay are we talking about for this work, and how permanent will the positions likely to be?

im currently looking for a job in the surf industry and am an experienced designer maker but only 3 boards under my belt but i come with my own toolkit (mostly festool)

cheers

We are looking for someone permanent, who will work as part of the team.

Work is paid on a piece rate basis, so the harder you work the more you can earn. Our standards are very high so we expect a lot but training would be given. If you are seriously interested send me a CV and I’ll give you more details.

thanks for the quick reply,

i dont have access to my home computer until monday but as soon as i am back on it i will dig out my cv and forward it through.

at present i am senior technical adviser in the Model making workshop at Manchester Metropolitan University, before that i ran my own business designing and making furniture, shop-fits and sculptures. examples of my work can be seen at www.marko-polo.co.uk and i used to freelance for www.charleshadcock.com where id work on every stage from fibreglass patterns to bronze castings… lots of sanding and polishing!

when i send my cv next week ill include pics of the 3 boards ive made so far.

piece work sounds good, i like grafting, thats the problem with my current job, too much free time!

just out of interest could you give a rough idea of pay per piece and how many you would expect in a day?

pm me if its easier.

kind regards

Mark

I just shipped some sample blanks to a shaper in the UK. I’ve had some interest in foam. What blanks are you seeing some thru your factory? Is the foam good, great, decent, bad?

Just Foam

www.JustFoamblanks.Com

We use TBF from spain and Walker from america, both are really good. There are so many different types of foam around at the moment some of it better than others. I have heard of you guys but haven’t seen your foam yet, that said we are happy with our current supply.

Thanks for your message,

Steve
