So, do you think standing up on a surfboard is difficult, or something?

I think thier is a hierarchy with difficulty.
Boogieboarding - easy
Surfing - harder
Skateboarding - extremely difficult
They are all quite simple really, its the level you strive to take a chosen sport to that can often prove the sports difficulty…
Surfing is not a sport and this used to be a designforum.

I agree......
Boob man is a troll. I hope his mom doesn't find out that her tits are on the Internet..........
Boobman, do you skate? If so do yuo do tricks, grinds etc.? I think its quite funny, I was at this skate park a few days ago, and all these guys 18-23 olds with there well cordinated threads were giving me the stinkeye, trying to act tough. I just had to laugh, don't get me wrong these guys were doing all kinds of tricks, and yes it is difficult, but not one of them could jam a hard/stylish turn of the bowl /halfpipe. Waiting until you've lost all speed and then throwing a lazy kickturn or whatever, standing tall like stickmen. It sounds like you and they are missing the point. In my opinion surfing isin't about tricks or airs, surfing isin't just shortboards. From bodysurfing to SUP's it's all good, the best surfing move ever was by the Duke, to spread this gift around the world in the first place.
The “best” anything is a subjective personal opinion. They say it on commercials all the time. It means nothing. So why is everyone getting so bent about somebody calling Jordy’s move the best?
But I will say that from his point of view, seeing how utterly STOKED he was pulling it off, that’s what it’s all about. I may not necessarily want to pull the same move, but I want to feel that stoke, for sure. That’s the best.
It looked like he had a good day.
Surfing is a sport and this is still a design forum. ![]()

+1 Sami.
Mike
i'm going to refer to all the trick stuff as skurfing(skate inspired tricks on a surfboard). in that sense, jordy probably did pull off the greatest move in skurfing(that we've seen anyway)....
more like snurfing...a rodeo is definitely a snowboarding trick
Safest to leave pulling tricks to the professionals…hookers.
Dang,
My best move ever was a duckdive to 720 air !
watched a kid almost pull one of these off in knee high, hightide, new jersey slop.
