Jordy Smith shows up in Santa Cruz as a wildcard entry in the Cold Water Classic, proceeds to tear the place apart and goes home with the win. This kid is amazing. He even showed up at our local break last week and left everyone in awe. Effortless, and I mean EFFORTLESS 360 airs were served up on every wave. And what a nice kid.

I completely agree with this statement. They are taking surfing in a great direction. Not just new school aerials, but full-on power surfing and tube riding, combined with rediculous aerial assaults.
