JULY Oahu Swaylocks-Potluck/Surf Pai'ina IDEAS HERE!

Okay Hawaiian/Swaylockians

Mr. Melville and family’s back in town around mid-July

Rumor is Rhino is going to school at UH too

Maybe we should start planning a weekend if Keith can give us a firm date and a location. I’m thinking Magic Island although it’ll be crowded as there’s a channel to try standup paddling and waves either right off the island or further in at big lefts that can be video taped fairly easy. Another option is we can set up a tent base over by tennis courts or Kapiolani park by the Natatorium might be another option.

If anyone has a south/west side beach house available that would great too.

I think July might be a dry time for waves from what I hear but who knows…

Lets get some ideas…

Maybe some ex-veterans can rent one of the beachhouses down at Whiteplains.

anytime after July 18 is good - how about weekend of the 26th or August 2nd? we’ll be at Makaha but can meet up anywhere if nobody wants to go westside. Haleiwa worked fine; or Ewa, or we could go to the park near Goat Island (always some surf there). It’s all good.

OK, let me suggest a date - how about Saturday July 26?

As I said Makaha works for me - we’ll have a BBQ available there - but if you guys want to meet elsewhere, somebody name a different spot and that’s fine too.

Last time at Ewa was fun, although I could do without the sharks when the kids are in the water!

I’ll be back on the island on the 23rd.

Souds like a plan!

Any suggestions for a place, date or attendees yet?

Sat Aug 2nd?

But where?

Makaha?

Sounds like the oahu rippers over at the surfermag forum want a get together too.

Be nice to set up a tent(s) and barbeque and be able to go surfing without worrying about your car or your stuff back at the tent…

come on folks…

let’s get a pulse going…

Okay since no one’s said anything yet
