just a little right

yes please.

paddle back and you’re done for the day, lol

that was insane, how could a little insider be so much fun???

Wow…Awesome…Breaking very close to shore… I bet there’s a very tight swell angle to get it that good!

My guess is long period and a lot of refraction. Looks fun as hell.

But, I’m partial to right-handed points, anyway. It’s what I ride most of the time.

I’ve seen this wave before slightly bigger with some hollow sections. Looks like a fun novelty wave

I think I’d actually learn to go right for that wave. lol

It looks like he might have even gotten a little bored about 3/4 of the way through.

I’ve never been there but my friends tell me similar stories about Scorpion Bay in Baja, Ride forever, get out, walk back up the point and ride forever again. If only!!

The video at the top of this post was 1 minute 22 seconds.  I surfed a point in Baja, a few years back, that yielded head high rides that were over two minutes long.  The only way to get into the area was by 4x4, and we were the only ones out.

I also timed the paddle back up the point.  It took about 25 minutes to do the paddle, wait for another wave, and surf for another two minutes.  The swell was pretty consistent, and I didn’t have to fight a crowd, so the wait time was pretty short.  This gave me an idea.

**Hypothesis: ** The 2:25  ratio (8%) is my maximum for any surf session.  Basically, this means that I will be standing up and surfing 8% of the time in the best case scenario.  The only way that I could beat 8% is if I increased my paddling speed.  Crowds, lulls, and currents all contribute to reducing the percentage of time spent standing-up on a wave.

Dang, Scott.  You tech guys crack me up.  I get 3 to 5 GOOD waves I’m stoked. I’d love to surf that little thing on one of my fishes.  Mike
