JUST FOAM going to double shifts

Just an FYI to let the community know Just Foam is tooled up and ready to produce large numbers if the orders demand it. We currently have about 250 orders a day and have the ability to double that if necessary. Most of our new molds should be finished by the end of March. Updates on delivery times and blank sizes/inventory and order forms can be found at our Website, WWW.JustFoamBlanks.Com.

Just Foam, all the guys who work so hard to make this happen everyday, want to thank you for the opportunity to serve the community and huge thanks to all the shapers who took the chance by using our foam before Clark shut his doors.

The Big Question!---------------250 Orders! How many of those per day orders are you actually producing? Wishing you the best. But remaining a realist. McDing

Put your order in and see. I don’t want orders I can’t fill, that happened of all of January and february. We have spent all that time moving into a 20,000 foot building, hiring specialist in the tooling field, making tooling and getting ready to fill the existing orders, while trying to maintain and subsequently improve a good foam.

i hope the quality does improve, at least get a decent stringer. i think the quality was better when you were selling them out of the back of your truck. hope the new place helps, more options are opening up in the market.

The stringers Just Foam currently offers are a balsa veneer and basswood, So far only one shaper has requested basswood and most of the team riders are super excited about the stringers (other than a very bad batch in December, made by a different person). What stringer would you suggest? Since I have never received any feedback from you on the quality of the blank or the stringer your comments do little to further anything, if that’s the purpose of your comments. Pick up the phone. Midget, Timmy Patterson, Rusty, Michael Baron, Marcio, Cordell, Dave Pearson, Robert’s and Al Merrick have all been shaping Just Foam blanks and all the time providing feedback. I appreciate feedback, both positive and negative. Feedback is what helps improve a product.

The only just foam blank ive seen had a luan shop grade plywood stringer, the kind that just flakes away and gives you splinters…i hope thats from the bad batch from before. I dont know which blank it was, but it was around the 6 1 ro 6 4 range, and it looked like the tail had as much rocker as the entry.

just my feedback, glad to hear you have a new facility!

That wood was from a nightmare manufacturer, he is history! All the rockers are custom ordered, sounds like you shaped an R7, it has + .50" in the tail and is still used by it’s owner and a number of other people. Even though I don’t agree with some of the rockers I have to make them as ordered. Cordell, MB, ProCam and many others have given my rocker crew praise for nailing the rockers to near perfection. Next time try an R9 if you like a flatter rocker or the R3 for a +.25 in the last 24". Thanks for the feedback, I really do appreciate it.

Are you selling directly to backyard guys? If not, where can we get your blanks?

yes we are, but Foams, Fins & Fiberglass in Ventura, Pure Glass in Costa Mesa, Ezera in Oceanside and Basham’s in San Clemente all carry Just Foam blanks. Go to the website for sizes and direct pricing.

Any plans for a nice wide fish blank along the lines of the Clark 6’2"C?

I will have the 69F (same as the A but 1" longer and .125" thicker) and the 63F (same as the C but 1" longer and .25" narrower in the center and at the nose) available by 4/24 with a lot of back orders right now. But at the rate I am pouring I should be able to have them available to new orders by the end of the month. Check the website for exact dimensions.

Aloha

I have used the Just Foam blanks for a over a year now and found Scott to be honest and trustworthy.I really like the 6’5" but would love to see the new fish and longboard plugs in production. The crap stringers are gone now and the new formula seems tighter and consistent. Let me emphasize that when the rubber hits the road all of my pro surfers love the ride! I am also shaping foam from Australia, South Africa, France, Spain, Argentina and of course the other domestic sh** and have been very happy with the Just Foam. Not sure how a lot of this other foam rides. check it out for yourself and get back to the forum on your opinions.

Increase the peace, Midget

What is the density like underneath on Just Foam blanks? Can you cut into the deck without comprimising strength? I know you couldn’t on Clarks, but you can on Walker and Safari’s.
