We produced this chunk of 2 lb urethane as part of a process trial for a large windblade project…
It seems to be begging to be made into a dugout surf kayak or something like that…
I thought that I would sand down the bottom to get to the smoother foam but keep the overall shape as it is…
I would hollow out the top as much as structurally possible.
I’ll probably have to add some ballast to get it to sit right…
I envision it looking like an inverted turtle shell or leaf with a few fins protruding from the apex of the hump…
I won’t be trying to create a work of art or the next cool surf craft with this, just a fun expirament with a free piece of foam…
My question is
Am I sitting on this backwards??
Would it work better the other way??
Will it work at all??
