has any one tried this wood for boards? its seedpod stuffing is used for life jackets. but the wood is supposed to be water tight and light?
Kapok?!?!? That stuff SOAKS in water and gets twice as heavy. Don't know about the wood from the tree. The U.S. military uses/used kapok in lifevests/torture devices. They send you out in the surf and wait for them to get good and heavy. Then the work starts.
will be trying it very soon there are millions of these trees near where i live in lombok, so having one dropped next week.
