I was surfing doheny last summer and I traded longboards for a while with this little grom. I was really into the longboard he had but can’t remember the name? I think it was Kasen or Kasey? He said the shop was near the Weber shop, but I haven’t had the time to make a trip down there. Does anyone have any info on who shapes these boards and how to get a hold of him? Thanks for the help guys!!!

It seems like this guy makes shortboards, and the board I rode was a “retro” longboard, who knows maybe he has mastered both.
Oldschool, the grom was probably Chris’s nephew who’s always at Doheny. Kaysen’s does the glassing and finishing for Weber and Infinity (also others), as well as produces their own brand boards. Most of Chris’s off the rack stuff is shortboards from what I’ve seen at his place. Infinity makes a model called the “retro” which they export mostly to Japan. Contact Steve at 949-661-6699. I do the repairs for Weber and some for Infinity, and Kaysen’s glassing is the best around.
Thanks a lot Pete, the board was a lot of fun and really worked well…I’m glad I’ll get the chance to check one out for myself.
