I just saw the first pictures of Louisianna and nearby states on the french evening news. Just wanted all of you out there to know that we are thinking of you and praying.
Amen
Yeah things sound really bad there, they’ve even established Martial Law throughout the region.
Best wishes to everyone involved from Wozzieland, can only get better from now on…
best wishes to all people affected by this massive tradgedy,
from all in Aus.

This is the first time ive been able to really access a computer for a while, but I go to school in New Orleans and had evacuated the day before the storm. I now have the semester off because my school is 13 feet under water. Hopefully I can figure something out, but on a more positive note, when i evacuated, i went down to galveston and went surfing. the storm surf was awesome but waves closed out a bit too fast. funny feeling… surfing waves from a storm that just detroyed my school and my belongings. ttyl… scott
damn man sorry to hear about that. i remember how bad it was last year around the central flroida region. my school got hit pretty hard and we missed a few weeks of school. but last years three storms we had is nothing like the devistation that the gulf coast region is having.
i just hope that the city of new orleans can recovery from the storm. its always been a place i have wanted to visit.
Our dependence on the infrastructure
becomes glaringly apparent
when confronted with natural forces
great enough to cause devastation
of this magnatude.
the option to EVACUATE
was not availiable to many on the island of Kauai.
to Know somthing that others did not
was the result of watching civilization
degrade to third world status
in 12 hours.
while we shared residence with all our neighbors on this island
all the neighbors that somehow were not present
were somehow less effected.
the look in the eyes of the ohana that were on island
spoke silent volumes.
those that were not here
occasionally speak lightly
of another huricane
the survivors know
what no food no water no gas no electric anything…
thirteen feet of water hundreds of miles away,?
wake up to cleaning the yard of debris
and salvaging what you can of your
former and future life
is the lasting devastation.
A guy I knew told me
that we were evolving
at ten times the rate of others on earth
,spiritually?
empathicly?
this is what chokes me empathicly
I can only watch so much…
will your school give extra credit for aiding the clean up?
God bless New Orleans
and the people who remain
they are greater
the ones you dont see
who are lifting broken things
and piling em up for disposal
Salvage will become a growth industry over the next weeks and months
God Bless New Orleans

after you evacuate Its hard to go back…
Howzit?!? Yes, Iniki was nuts, lucky though that our island is a mountain. To me, 9/11 means hurricane Iniki. Everyone handled pretty well over here then. I feel that if another event like that occurred, the craze drug problem would make things a lot more sketchy. The ‘Ice’ freaks… kind of psycho. Good luck out there, we’re all going to pay for this one. Aloha…RH
Saddest, some of the people who followed directions, did what they were told, trusted the PTB’s, are paying the price of good citizenship. The invisible dependents of the system. May they have food, water, medicine, and a useful revolution. My heart goes out to the innocent babes who never had the chance to change the world, or to shine it on, at will, to the old whose rich experience is lost and who did not deserve the abandoned end, and to all those in the middle who must live with the losses and rebuild an emptier nest.
