LOL…Thanks I needed that bit of humor…been to serious around here lately…life …eh…you know.
I think it was asked… Here at sways, which poster has the most locked threads…it’s probably me.
Ninjas ? I knew I should have went surfing today…lol.
Oh ya, HINJAS…NAW can’t tell that joke …it’s not politcally correct.
Ninjas…I asked my mom some years ago about the legendary nins and she showed me a wealth of info on them.
1)There were ninja schools(sure they exsist today, if you have enough bucks to pay your way into a over glorified combat school, that’s basically worthless).
2)They dressed usually in common clothing of the time (ninja = chameleon).
3)Rarely did they carry weapons of a conventional nature(in there time, they would carry things that appeared useless as weapons, farm tools etc.)or at most ,carried a knive.
4)Most were hired by Shoguns to spy on other shoguns.
5)Most were freelance Ronin(ex-Samurai)Not trained assasins in black pjs,lol .
6)Even though assasination was not common with ninjas,it did occur for the right price. eg. A ninja was hired to infiltrate a opposing army.He entered the enemies castle, and was hired as a everyday cook.He heard plans of attack on his boss’ castle , so the disguised spy took rice and pickled plums, rapped them in banana leaves(a common lunch for it’s time)and sent them off with the soldiers. When the enemy soldiers reached the outskirts of the opposing castle, they broke for lunch and then realizing that there was no chopsticks to eat with. The brush near by ,which was plentiful provided the ness. eating tools…in the course of an hour after lunch, all the enemy soldiers had died…
…oh you think the food was tainted ? No,food testers were always used as the ninja knew.
…the plentiful bush used to make chopsticks was Oleander…a very power, poisonous plant.
7)The Nins disappeared about the same time as the fall of the Shogun empire in the 18th century…today only myths and legends exsist.Herb
