Kingfish

Very cool forum here. Does anyone have any feedback positive or negative on the KINGFISH boards that Pat Ryan shapes? What kind of rider and break are these designed for? thanks.

never surfer em but i see lots at el porto(peaky wedgy beachbreak) here in so cal. seem to work pretty good.

KINGFISH rule. Very fast, loose, and FUN! I can’t say enough about Pat’s work. As I understand things, it was developed in conjunction with a sufer named Mark Hacker, an El Porto standout. The guys at Just Longboards (that’s where Pat shapes) might even hook you up with a demo. I hope that helps.

Here’s an article from a local weekly paper:>>> http://easyreader.hermosawave.net/news2000/0316/pipeline.asp I think he’s doing the same board for Mac Tavish to, there where two of these this summer in Hossegor, the only difference I noticed are the extra two little fins (Herb style) on the Mac Tavish. The name (type) was carver. I don’t think you can compare these shapes with long boards or the shorter long boards in how they perform, there’s very much volume and(tail)width with a different fin setup. Peter Rijk.
