For sale: surfboard shaping CNC mill made by KMSYSTEM, located in the south of Germany.
It is a 4-axis machine that can mill boards up to 14’ long.
The milling machine was used in 3-axis operation, as the 4th axis is less precise and requires minimal rework to increase precision. Other than that, it is fully functional as a 3-axis machine.
In addition to the usual foam materials PU and EPS, balsa, paulownia, agave and cork were also processed on the machine.
Some supports have been modified to be able to process all these materials. The machine is not intended for harder materials.
Spindle: Elte 1KW with ER32 change system
Motors: servo for axes X, Y, Z (see photos) — stepper for 4th axis
Drive: Belt Drive
Voltage: 220V – I am pretty sure that it’s not a lot of work to convert it to 110V
The scope of delivery also includes two side channel compressor vacuum pumps (1x 220V, 1x 380V), KMShape software, shape cutters from Shapers-AU (shapers.com.au/surfboard-cnc-cutter-super-coat-110mm/), ER32 cutter changing system (not automated).
Basic KMShape software training included.
Optional: Various cutters for other materials with ER32 tool change system, Shape3D Lifelong Export/CNC software.
Optional at no extra cost: several cubic meters of EPS with a density of 30 kg/m3 or 25 kg/m3 as well as blank templates and stringer material, hand-held hot wire cutter with control transformer.
Due to my health issues, disassembly and transport must be arranged by the buyer. The machine can fully be disassembled except for the X/Z axis unit.
