Laser cut wood inlay logo source?

Evening gentlemen,

Tonight’s question: does anyone have an idea of where to get a couple of logos cut in very thin wood veneer? I seem to recall someone posting here a while back, but… memory is not my strong point at present, it seems.

I’ve x-acto cut logos before, but some of what I’ve seen with the lasers is so clean and allows a greater amount of detail. I’m thinking a nice touch for the couple of boards that I still shape.

Thanks for any leads.

PS - I realized after typing this that I’ll be off-line for a couple of days. Sorry to start and run, but I’ll get back to this!

Should be lots of resources for this.  Plenty of companies who provide such a service; I would think.

Ever since I first read this thread I get laser system banner ads on Sway’s. If someone sell lasers nearby, you could send them the wood and an image file and ask them to try a couple samples for you. All the best, J

Try a Sign Shop. Many sign shops now use cutters and lazer sign cutters.

I looked at this many moons ago never pulled the trigger

Thanks for the responses, I’ll widen my search locally a bit. The two shops I talked to seemed to think I was nuts. Wood logos on surfboards? That’ll never work, those things are plastic…

Oneula, thanks for the link. Pretty cool little inlays. Discreet at 1.5".
