Late 1960's noseriders

Now that I think of it, my first board was a pop out called Bohemian > Surfboards. It was 8’6", and straight as a ladder. I think I pearled > more than I didnt with it. But hey, it only cost me $25 from my dad’s > poker buddy. I sold it for $40 and with some money I had from my paper > route then got serious with a 9’8" Wardy. I haven’t read the whole thread(yet) but I love my '67 Yater Nose specializer. At 9’8" its loose and fast. I could do any thing on it. It’s almost back in the water. Needs a finish sanding session and some new Green slip check.

This thread reminded me that my first two boards when I started surfing were “pop-outs”. That was the only way I could afford to get involved. How many youngsters will a “love for a lifetime” in surfing, by starting out on Chinese made boards from Costco.
