…Lots of overhead+ closeouts, but one out of 10 or so was a great tube.Pipeline like ,with a incoming swell/out going tide 6-10’ coming a couple miles off the continental shelf into waist to knee high water. The stuff people get seriously hurt in.In fact when we were leaving Beach St.at the end of our surf lesson, a fire crew with paramedics were on a call at Coronado/I.B. Blvd.(Hope it wasn’t too bad for who ever it was). …My long time hometown buddy Steve M., a well acomplished surfer/waterman, got drilled on his last wave and literally vaporized the nose of his board. It was one of those overhead+, green ,thick ,sucking up, brown/black, real fast!!!More h2o above than below!!!It held him down for awhile, more than a 10 count for sure. …All in all,I got 3 tubes 3 running down the liners, and 6 closeouts and 3 of the 6 were world class hitters…no surf schools here today.Herb
speaking of lee… i was curious about some dimensions for the edge board you did. beautiful lines, tail width, widepoint above + center???
Ohhhh THAT pier…Glad you got it. 10 minute lulls for 3 chest high walls where I was. It wasn’t bending in enough. Maybe next time…
