''''''''lest we forget''''

well i am just saying’’

Thank you Bro

Nice reminder.

Time for a moment of silence and thanks for our blessings.

Thank you.     More lives were lost than at Pearl Harbor Dec.7, 1941.    Think about it.

glad someone’s remembering.

at times i wonder, with all the whining and crying i’ve been hearing…

amen to that.

Heroshima, Nagasaki,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

KABUL !!!!

should have ,,,,could have,,, wanted to

as great as this country is,,,,,,, well,,,,, I have my druther's

the difference is Hiroshima and Nagasaki were a consquence of wwii… which for the US officially started at the conclusion of the Pearl Harbor attack 7 dec 41…   read up on the pacific campaigns wwii. tarawa, iwo jima, okinawa… invading japanese home islands would have cost a whole lot more lives than H and N cost the japanese.  ( heck. they couldve surrendered )  sad piece of history. but you cant blame the US for using it’s option

same could be said of kabul…afgh was hosting special camps at universities to learn the art of killing, with innocent innocent civilians in the west being the main objective.

everyone’s entitled to his opinion however.

Being forever grateful does not mean we have to forever agree. 11/9 such a sad date on so many levels.

I’m with you Huie.  A lot of innocent Aussies died for nothing in Bali.    the loss at the twin towers was also an international loss, as hundreds of people from around the world were killed as well as the Americans.

They hate who we are and what we do with our lives and are willing to kill us for that.  Boggles the mind.

Huie

I was not trying to desrespect anyone or anything past.

I do respect and love my country (USA)

I am not pleased with the events of 9/11

I was just stating the fact that once we (USA) stopped pussy footing around with Japan back in WWII they stoped fucking with everyone,,,

sorry if my opinion and beliefs rattled your cage

i guess i misunderstood the gist of yr post too.

dunno why, but usually when i someone ment’s H and Naga, they allude to the idea that the US, just out of the blue, decides to drop nukes.  Not putting it into context.

anyway. i gotcha now. we on the same page.

Agreed

Hey Huie -

My dad was all shot up on Biac Island during WWII.  He was shipped to a hospital in Australia where his wounds were patched up.  I remember his stories that always painted Australians as great people.  "Good on ya Yank!" was one of his favorite expressions.

My son more recently attended college in Melbourne and was treated very well.  He was practically adopted as a brother  by his roomate and his roomate's parents.

Anyway, I don't know if I was clear in my PM to you.  I just want you to know that I appreciate the gesture in the original post.

God Bless America.
