Lighter Spots Pigment Cutlap 1st Coat

Hey all,

I have some very small lighter spots here n’ there on my bottom laminate coat from where I had Q-Cell filler on the foam.

Question:  I saved a few oz of the tinted resin, can I get it to kick and touch up these small areas with a brush?

any advise is appreciated, please & thank you.

Tint will never show the same color on Q-cell. You may try to darken it a bit but getting even with the color of the foam around is best made with an airbrush (AND A VERY GOOD EYE AND GOOD LIGHTNING.) Not worth the trouble, IMHO.

Balsa is right.  But sometimes you cam make them less noticeable.  Have you got a closeup.  Let’s see how bad they are.  You learned something.  A shaped blank that you intend to tint must be screened as perfect as you can get it.   No scratches, holes, tears along the stringer or filler.

Learning is rad.

It’s not bad at all.  Just a few tiny spots just NE of the finbox.
