List of Board Model Names.

Every time I log on to the Sways Home page theres a list of boards for sale and they have Model Names like...

 The Peck Penetrator

Anderson Thruster

Bing Silver Spoon

 Velzy Pig

In Australia, we havent named models until recently and Im always interested/ amused/ fascinated by the ingenuity and creativeness of the names, esp the older ones and what the names would have meant back then or where they came from.

Can anyone add to the list of model names from the US and other places from all eras please ??

And maybe a bit of history/ dims about the model if possible.

Just off the top of my head, Gordon and Smith Australia had a Bobby Brown Model, produced in the mid sixties. I am sure that others existed, but since I always liked the surfing of Bobby Brown, this particular model is an easy one for me to remember.

Not true. There were Aussie “models” in the 60s.

At my age the 1960's are recent.

Got any names for those models ?

This could be quite a long list…

Morey/Pope: McTavish Tracker, The Blue Machine, Camel

Surfboards Hawaii: Model A

Greek: Eliminator

Rick: UFO, Cosmic Vehicle

Dusty Rhodes: Spider, Code 20, Springer, Love

Im sure that others will come up with much longer lists
