An increase in the number of people surfing during the coronavirus pandemic, coupled with difficulty sourcing manufacturing supplies, has led to a surfboard shortage on the coast, according to the veteran shaper.
TDI shortage may also be having an effect. Although the plants in Germany and elsewhere may be getting back up to speed; I am sure the shutdown affected the supply chain. All these dopes in the water like crab buoys. I can see why guys like Phil Edwards and Michael Hynson quit years ago. Like Hynson told me once; “It’s not like the old days at Windansea when we went down to the beach and everybody cleared out because I was with Butch”. Or as Phil said; “Sholud have been here yesterday”.
