I been on and off keeping logs or journals over the years. My current one goes back to mid 2006. I used to log the swell direction, winds etc but for me it’s easier to keep it brief. I keep it really basic now. I try to log every session but sometimes a few days slip away. What’s cool is looking back on it a years later… My rating system is a combo of consistent wave quality, fun had and overall vibe of the session. A medium size day could fetch a 5 star if it’s perfect, consistent and just friends… Oh yeah, I deleted the spot names out of respect for my friends and well… I like it uncrowded too.
Here’s the month of July so far…
7-1-08 * * * + 9-6" Pop Out w/8.5 Albacore and GL sides
******‘s again w/ Curtis, Pat, Don, Austin. 2-4’ Weird winds in
the beginning. Then it got really perfect for around an hour 1/2.
No one else out.
7-2-08 * * * * 9-6" Pop Out w/8.5 Albacore and GL glass sides
*****'s again with Austin, Don, Stewart Sr and Jr and Bill T.
Perfection 2-4’. 200 yard long, section after section, rippable peelers.
No one else out. Board working insane.
7-3-08 * * + 9-6" Pop Out w/8.5 Albacore and GL glass sides
Bumpy wind swell ******'s. 2-3+ Got a couple decent ones
off the point… Allen came back from the Maldives…

2-3++ Perfect *****'s with only Austin for an hour… SCORE!
One guy came out so we paddled down to ****'s and Stewart joined us.
Perfect little rippable waves till we were dead tired… AWESOME!

ok at best… Back to hull flex or 8.5 Albacore. Just us for over an hour
then 5 guys more.
