logos, artwork etc.

I’ve been glassing my first board and as I keep progressing through the stages I keep puting off artwork, decals, and stuff. Anyway, does anybody know what embossing options I have left for the bottom which is hotcoated without sanding or top which is about to get hotcoated?

In addition to what is in the archive, you may want to look up floating a logo. This entails sanding away the hotcoat where the image is to be placed. This depression should be slightly larger than the paper the image is on. Using lam resin, wet the area, lay down the paper and lay a patch of 4oz cloth. After hotcoating it is just a matter of fairing this in during sanding. Re-hotcoat the general area again if you don’t want weave showing.

Another way is to apply art directly to the sanded hotcoat. This can be: freehand, stenciled, or screenprinted. If a water-based medium was used, then you can carefully hotcoat this area and fair-sand it into the rest of the board…
