LongBoard Magazine - DVDs

I was thinking about ordering some DVDs from LongBoard Magazine.

Anyone offer some thoughts about:

“The WalkAbout”

“>Passport> video edition 3”

“Stepping Out”

“Contours”

“PowerGlide”

Are these a watch once or twice disk or watch over and over?

(ie. value/longevity?)

I’m after both classic moves and modern power longboarding.

I have not been at it long and don’t get much water time so I wanted some living room insperation of longboard moves/tricks. Unless recommended otherwise, I was thinking of getting “The WalkAbout” and 1 other (most likely passpot).

thanks

I have Powerglide, Contours, and Passport and IMHO Contours is the best. Has some great classic and prog footage of Baja, Malibu, Puerto, etc. Was somewhat disappointed with Passport as it seems like a shortboard vid, all tuberiding clips set to music. Powerglide is somewhere between the two.

Can’t comment on Walkabout as I’ve yet to see it…

Aloha,

P.O.P.E.

I haven’t seen any of the movies you mentioned, but highly suggest “The Cast” by Travis Karian

(by the way, I’m a first time poster, long time reader…hello all!)

get way of life, that movie rules

Longer. By J. Brother. Blow your mind.

I was looking into videos recently and Single Fin Yellow came recommended by a couple of different people so I just ordered it. I should know how it is in about a week.

Ah, i love single fin yellow, great film, watched it so many times in the last couple of weeks. Really makes me want to go out on those tiny days and practice my cross stepping

im glad that you watched it so many times last week because i did too and thought it was weird that i was watching the same video over and over again, but i do that a lot.

yeah, i also just got Thicker Than Water and it is also amazing, the surfing is OK but the music is what makes it so good

“Singlefin: Yellow” instantly became my favorite surf video of all time. i’ve watched it over and over again, and i don’t think i’ll ever get sick of it.
