i found this board in a garage sale. i cost me about 20 dlls. its a 6’0, 21’’ wide, 2.5’’ thick. it has some horrible repairings, made with some kind of yellow paint, but there are no delaminations or any major dings. can someone tell me something about this board? how old is it, who is rory russell and the real price of the board nowadays? thanks in advance. jack.

is it sub 6ft. looks like one of those super short surfboards that seem to make guys stick their butts out and flap their arms. relics from a time when designs hit the minimum length limit. you will need some serious smoothness to ride that baby.
Rory never stuck his butt out, wiggled it, rotated it, waved his arms around, or twist and shouted.
this board is not a wallhanger. it’s 100% rideable, it’s a twin fin, one of the fins is severely damaged, but im fixing it now. 100 dlls ? i thought it was a little more expensive. anybody knows about the years this kind of boards were made?

Jack, Rory Russel is known for being one of the only two surfers with a mustache allowed to win a Pipeline Masters, as far as i know.
The board seems to be in pretty good condition, but i think it wont be easy to feel the “trim” on this board, as it happens on other twin fins, i have a board from this era and it’s difficult to keep the speed with you. Take care of this board, and ride it!
