So I’ve got an itch to build some handplanes. Just looking for some busted, broken, beaten boards to cut down. I really should have kept my eye out for broken boards after this last storm but wasn’t thinking. If you know of any places that usually have some broken boards please let me know. Not sure where to look for boards that most people would throw out. Thanks.
Look for a surfboard factory near you; there's almost always pieces of boards stuck off in the corners. Or you can get some tailblock cut-offs from PU blanks, some of them should be big enough to shape into handplanes.
