I am putting this message out in a last ditch effort to retrieve my beloved “ROJO”. On June 21, 2002 I experienced every surfers nightmare. While driving north on highway 1o1 and the 1 somewhere between Ventura and Big Sur State Campground I lost a 9 foot Mobley single fin longboard red on the bottom and white deck and a all white 6-10 channel islands shortboard off the top of my Alaskan camper. I don’t suspect theft more likely a crappy bungie. Both boards were in white " Da Kine" board bags in addition there was a pole holder with several rods inside. If anyone out there feels like spreading some good karma and has seen these items or knows of there whereabouts I would appreciate the lead. Surfboards like the longboard I lost as you all know become part of your life. That board means a lot to me even if it is damaged so please keep your eyes open. My guess is it was lost somewhere past hearst castle and before ragged point. If you or your buddy decides to keep the board it has a sweet spot 3 feet from the nose and will make any section from there. Also the tail is super wide for you goofy footers.
