I really messed up, was in a hurry and forgot to take a pic, but what Matt Biolas has done to Basham’s is pretty phenomenal. I loved Basham’s and Brad, but times change. Brad did a lot for the surf industry, promoted shapers and provided materials and services. What Biolas has done is different and may take some getting used to by some, but it is a big improvement for the neighborhood. Lost and it’s various labels/brands now has a very large and super nice show room. The boards and the variety of shapes are amazing. If any of you get a chance to visit the Los Molinos San Clemente “surf ghetto” be sure to check out the Lost Factory and Showroom.
Having been a Bashams patron and being used to Brad and the barn vibe of his shop, it’s hard to get used to the new shop. It is a great shop though.
Yeah I would rather have Brad and his shop. The man and the shop were an institution.
I was out there earlier this year for Boardriders and they threw a party at the facility. Such a cool facility. Matt is very proud of it as he should be. The Used Surf shop across the street is also awesome. Wish we had a setup like this here on the East Coast.
