he’s got a real intelligent cool dad who cares … . man the guy is in > the 1% of the world . … sorry . … not a biggie … I do keep things in > perspective . … like I said though … no kids allows one to be a bit > selfish … glad some cool people are having em . … I mean thank god > some cool people are having em . … that’s the only thing that matters Hey Me, I tried wiggling and stretching those little baby toes out, but I reckon they’re not even attatched to the rest of me!(joking). Seriously though, I was thinking that, with the lifestyles we lead sitting in front computer screens all day, it’s a small wonder that some of us can walk at all, let alone surf!! I was thinking how many muscles there are in my body (I don’t know how many) and how few I probably use properly during most of the day. I mean I dont think I’ve ever asked my baby toes to stretch out, interesting. If we’re not using, or don’t know how to use, or infact don’t even realise they’re there then its no wonder we get problems.
because the terrible thing is that old adage (???) is true, if you don’t use it, you lose it. And in terms of the feet, if you download pics from like the, oh shoot. . … what was it, Mt. Vesuvius, No . … that billion years ago volcano that covered a whole Roman village or island??? Yeah I can imagine they’ve all got their roman sandals on … but uh uh . … all the preserved bodies underneath that stuff . … it’s quite apparent how wide the toe box of their feet were. And man if you really really really think about it, a 200 lb body . … 6 ft + tall . … nature is going to give it a foundation . … where the outside line of the two supporting rods … is dead and curled over and shorter than the rest of the supporting rod??? No way. No way that nature by the year 2002, is designing big dogs that automatically have hip displacement. No Way!!! Evolution is too brutal and exacting and discriminating of an event. No . … it is big dogs in cities!!! And their outside paws, well actually their whole paw … has not had a chance to contract and grip . … like our hands. Peaman imagine, when you step down on your feet and you place out your feet and toes like you would if you were walking on your hands!!! Imagine! Your feet would elongate and splay out and give you an arch completely across the width of the foot, not just on the inside, that is bullshit about the arch being only on the inside. Why is the foot red where the arch stops. … because the arch is the muscular part where the tissue is being circulated with blood and the flat part is the dead and atrophied part . … and that dead and atrophied part says that the end connection of your metal rubber bands up above . … they are not being tugged and adhered to down at the bottom in the area that they are supposed to be tugged and adhered to. So they get pulled over towards the big toe, and those steel ligaments then wrap around your inside of your legs - NOT the outside. Now the law of physics says that when you take away the corner supporting base underneath a huge weight . … like let’s say a bomb on the corner of the World Trade Center (not being light here, it is actually what happened and it is very relatable as to how heavy a weight we are talking). Okay so you take the outside corner … well that weight, ALL That weight from below - is going to have to shift to the next level up . … meaning that base just caved down and so the weight (which is exactly what the buildings did before they caved in completely, they caved down into the base that was weakened) displaced from below UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL. In our case, it is the outside calves. … . now peaman . . .think… … where do you see people bow. And the bowing takes the knees out to the outside (all knee surgery is done on the anterior cruciate ligaments) and the hips to the outside, and the hips grab the tendon inserting thru the greater Sciatic notch (which is thru your pelvis) and they pull it . … and that tendon grabs your psoas muscle in the front and in the back it grabs the muscles coming from the sacral area - and it pulls that disc over and the disc gets deflated . … that’s it . … and the body caves in and forward. We are programed to go back into the fetal position when we put on our first pair of shoes . … look at em. The most expensive running shoe you can find, still cuts off your outside 3 toes. … totally. I am not kidding about this, I sound like I just got this pat little theory … but it took me forever to actually “FEEL” it … because being a dancer I was sure it started from up above … but it doesn’t … of course why wouldn’t the feet be the most resonating stimulus … thus what the chinese have said all along finally . … finally . … actually . … more than just some esoteric metaphysical nodding of the head yes back from me … finally I see the frigging total mechanical and completely pervasive impact of . … our 20th century shoes. If you even imagine running or jumping off of feet that have the outside tissue totally used and elongated and not atrophied and with an arch underneath . … we are talking balance, speed and height of jump being multiplied by at least 2. We are talking phenomenal athletics and balance. And by the year 2002 - it makes a whole lot more sense that nature - with the rest of the design of this vehicle - being so . . .excuse me . … but SO FUCKING much more sophisticated than any medical and/or not human can yet even still imagine. … it is an amazing design . … I haven’t even noted the . …oh well . … obviously I get way way way too intense here . … but really . … .I am just an observer of this machine . … like not alot of people have been able to be . … and I know it … and believe me … .it was designed so that it would have joint problems by 20. Which go outside and take a look at everyone you see … you will notice the bowing starts early … very early . . you take a 4 year old and you ask him to move his baby fingers … and then you ask him to move his baby toes … you will see what I mean. Why would frigging nature make the BASE of us totally not under our control??? No way . … It’s us. Our audacity and stupidity … and mostly just naive I guess. I don’t doubt that the pain that this causes in people so subtley . … by the time they are 6, 8, 10, 13 . … manifests in addictions like we have. It is actually a very painful process. And that is why old people have these hammered over stubs … that are completely disintegrated . … well in the past worse . … anyway I hate all my words … I have been jamming on this now so intensely lately … but my head … won’t stop … it’s because I know it is true … it can be changed …
and anyone else who has any disassociation from the outside of their feet, it may sound blarney but it isn’t. If you can start now, doing relevas (in ballet the French term is sort of just like calf raises). . . .calf raises . … per foot . … get a bread cutting board . . or just any half inch or close to, piece of wood. Put it in a door way … if you have a hanging bar in the top of the doorway it is actually better, but use the support of your hands and arms via the hanging bar, or if not - the sides of the doorway, to position the outside 3 toes on the very ledge of the wood slab. You know, like the 3 outside toes are mostly just on the slab and the rest of the foot is off, well at least the outside of the whole foot is on the slab. Start doing calf raises so that you actually get up on top of the toes, I mean as high as your depleted outside foot arch will take you. That is why you need arm strength because you will notice the 3 toes will not be able to do that much. But if you keep on doing it every day … you will develop more of a connection to the outside ligaments of your toes. And if you do it alot you will notice the exertion and the warmth of circulation go up the outside of your leg, into your outside knee, then into your outside hip . … and then into your lower back. You can really break a sweat doing this. By doing this you will connect with this outside area that has atrophied and shortened up. With circulation you should be able to find that then when you stretch the leg to the side that you actually plant down on the outside foot distinctly and you feel the stretch from the outside of the foot all the way up the leg and hip to the lower back. I know it is a pain, but if you experiment enough, you will eventually see what I am talking about, in terms of connecting to your lower back. You will FEEL quite distinctly the connection of how strong those ligaments do affect your lower back and the rest of your body. Try and pull your gutt in as much as possible when you are doing this and it will work this area mostly then. I am afraid it sounds too dorky but I promise you, I have seen people start doing that right here where I work, and they distinctly feel the connection to that part of their body that is giving them trouble. This isn’t the only thing to do but it will help. There is a toe stand in Yoga, where you are supposed to support the body standing vertically . . .just on your 10 toes . … with your feet arched forward and your knees bent. It also shows you how much we truly do need those outside toes and how much atrophied they have become. Just try -
